Spooky Fall Woods Elopement, NJ

These photos were taken in celebration of their elopement. These two got married during covid and weren’t able to get their photos taken because of restrictions. They reached out to me to celebrate their wedding anniversary with photographs in the woods. They love exploring upstate and outside and wanted photos to commemorate that and their love for spooky/halloween things.

We celebrated by taking photos on a sunny fall day in Stokes State Forest in Sussex County, NJ. If you’d like to elope in NJ, permits tend to vary all over and from park to park. However, most places you can elope for free, it just has to be low-key. It’s always better to check though. You also need your officiant and two witnesses to make it official. LUCKILY, I can be one of your witnesses. And I freaking love doing it! It’s an honor being able to be part of your day and help commemorate you marrying the love of your life.

To celebrate they purchased a gorgeous cake from Desserts by Raisa (who is an incredible baker/decorator). The cake reads “‘Til death do us part.” They brought a couple dozen roses with them as well and danced under the sunny autumn skies. This day reminds me of somewhere in-between The Corpse Bride and Twilight.
