Summer Storm on a Farm, Matt & Pernille

These photos are from quite a few summers ago and I’m just getting around to blogging this. I have always loved these photos of Matt and Pernille. They use to book me to take photos of them on Matt’s family farm in New Jersey and around Waterloo Village. It’s absolutely beautiful on his farm and I’m very grateful to have been able to see it. Matt’s working on writing a book and I believe he is using one of my photos as his book cover. I can’t wait to read it, I hear he is an excellent writer. He’s a good friend and an even better human being.

We were taking these photos and got caught in a storm and took cover inside one of the barns and ended up watching the storm for a little bit. Most of these photos weren’t planned and I love the candid nature of them. Being a documentary photographer, it’s exactly the kind of thing I love to photograph.

I may blog some of our other photo sessions at some point, but I also just really love this one because of the Cinematic Gif that I made. I offer these in my wedding and elopement collections now. I think they’re really cute to have.
