Magical Space Wedding, Alli + Raine
I was lucky to photograph a wedding that took place in Space! Actually it took place at the WCE Carriage House in Englewood NJ. When they reached out to me and initially told me about the theme for their wedding (Written in the stars) I flipped. Then when I met Alli (they/them) and Raine (he/him) and I was so so happy I said yes. These two have something very special for each other, and every single person at their wedding was in total awe of them.
The wedding was very DIY (which I love). The vendors they used are listed at the bottom. Their friends did their make up, set up the alter, decorated for the ceremony, married them and more. Their wedding ceremony had “play bills,” pronoun stickers, an astronaut carrying the rings, table settings with astrology themed placement cards, a moon to take photos with, a space themed wedding cake with their cats. It was unlike anything I’ve seen before! I love when people come to me with fun ideas like this. I absolutely love backyard weddings, DIY style weddings, small intimate ceremonies, elopements, pets, outdoorsy, creative, artsy, unique ideas. It’s what makes my soul happy.
My brother’s wedding was a pirate-ninja themed wedding and he made his own wedding cake. My entire family came dressed up as either a pirate or a ninja. My grandparent’s had fake parrots on their shoulders and eye-patches. It was truly amazing and I think it’s where my love for this kind of stuff comes from. Keep them coming please! I hope that this wedding inspires you the way it has inspired me!
Some kind words from these cuties after I sent them their gallery..
“We wanted to take a moment to thank you for making our wedding day so special. The pictures are beloved by all and were exactly what we were looking for. Many of the family already have some framed up on their wall. You captured the joy of the day so seemingly effortlessly and were a dream to work with. (Also, we didn’t say this at the time because, honeymoon, but you got them to us crazy fast and it was really nice to be able to share them with people while it was still fresh in everyone’s mind.) Thank you again also, working with us as we changed dates (twice!). In these crazy COVID times, knowing you were with us no matter what was a huge weight off of our shoulders during these past few years.”
