Getting married in Asbury Park
Asbury Park is one of my favorite places in NJ and a great place to get married or elope. There’s so many amazing restaurants and scenery.
—You can go down by the iconic Convention Hall and elope on the beach during off season, like these two did.
— Afterwards you can eat at places like McLoone’s Boat House which is located right on the boardwalk along with many other great places to eat.
— Afterwards you could walk around and check out art and people watch.
— On Cookman Ave there’s even more places to eat, grab coffee, shop or art galleries to look at. Catch me at Cafe Volan on a regular basis, it’s a personal fav.
— Asbury Park is known for being artsy and full of music and there is no shortage of shows to go to while you’re here.
— It’s also super LGBTQIA+ and there are many drag shows that happen all throughout the year.
If you’d rather have a more traditional ceremony and reception, you can get married at The Asbury Hotel. I have another blog post featuring a wedding that I photographed here. You can have a rooftop ceremony at The Asbury Hotel and even walk down to the boardwalk and beach, that’s how close it is. There’s a lot of scenic spots throughout the hotel to get photos in, including a Photo Booth, a light up sign that you could display you and your partners’s name, and a record room. They also have a heated pool year around, a bowling alley/concert venue (Asbury Lanes), and rooftop movies in the summer. It’s a really great venue for weddings.
